Happy Birthday to ..... ME!!!

Today is my Birthday!! I had such a good day! First thing in the morning I was surprised to having 2 of my best friends at the door Sherri and Crystal with balloons, a sign, breakfast (that was suppose to be in bed but I had been up since 7:00 thanks to Betty :) ~)and bearing gifts. They were so sweet they made me this sign for all to see. I also have to say Crystal BEAT me :) with a blow up hammer 30 times!!! Tee Hee!! (Love ya Crystal)

Sherri gave me a 30 things we love about Mindy list and a cute sign that says a true friend warms you with their presence, Trusts you with their secrets and remembers you in their prayers and a cute flower clip for my hair. Crystal gave me a fancy watch to match all outfits that I have.

The day kept getting better loaded with phone calls from my sister Ginny and her girls singing to me, my Mom, My Mother in law, My SIL's Misty and Shelly singing to me, my sweet friend Shaleen, and gal so many I would have to go through my caller ID to list them all. I can say I was either on the phone or at the door all day.

I received so many gift from my sweet friends and neighbors. I received a bottle of Sparkling Cider from Bonnie, some room spray and a candy bar from Annie, a room defuser from Erin, a $25.00 gift card and my own little cake from Shaleen, some lotion from the R.S. Presidency, Bath and Body works lotion and home made sugar cookies (that are to die for) from Holli, a card and $65.00 from my grandma. and then was taken to dinner to one of my favorite places Outback!! and more birthday wishes on FB then I could ever imagine!! I have to also add to my surprise that when I went to load the kids in the car to go to dinner Sherri, Crystal and Hunter had written all over the windows of my car. Happy Birthday, you look good for being 30 and we love you! So everyone who I drove past knew it was my birthday. I also stopped at Hollywood Video to rent a movie to watch tonight and we had a free rental and I got a 2nd because it was my b-day so I was able to rent 3 movies for $5.00 YEA!!

Thanks to everyone who made my day sooo special!! I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing people!! I am truly Blessed!! Thanks to all of you!

Who needs a girls trip?? I DO

Vegas -Here we come!! For my birthday present Russell let me go on a girls trip with some of my very best friends. Carol, Shaleen and Holli. We also were lucky to be surprised to have Carols son Tony drive down and Stay at the Hilton in Vegas and spend time with us as well. We left Sunday at 7:00am and stopped in Springville at the Cracker Barrel for Breakfast. We then drove through to Saint George and got some lunch and then in to Vegas. We were so lucky because Carol had earned the room for free from using her players card and we stayed at the Venetian. We registered and went to our room. once we got there we got ourselves cleaned up and then headed over to Ceaser's Palace to eat dinner at the Cheese Cake Factory. It was way Yummy! I have never eaten there and heard that it was good. I have to say it was hard to choose what to eat because there was so many things to choose from. After dinner we walked through a few shops on our way back to the room. It was so hot that walking back to the room drained our energy so me, Holli and Shaleen decided to get in our scrubbies and stay in the hotel for the night and watch a movie on tv.

The next morning we got up and went to the Hilton to eat breakfast at the buffet after that we went and got tickets to see the show American Superstars. After getting the tickets Tony was sweet and took Holli, Shaleen and me to the outlet stores to do a little shopping. It was sooo hot 118 degrees $and the outlets are outside so after a few hours we were done and called for Carol to come and get us. We stopped at Micky D's for a little food and then off to the show. It was a show where they had impersonators who sang with their own voices and impersonated Britney Spears, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood,Elvis, and Michael Jackson! It was really great I would recommend everyone to see it and if you wait and get tickets the day of the show at a booth on the strip you can get tickets for 1/2 price. We paid $25.00 and face value is $39.95 you can get tickets at this store (by the M&M store) for 50% or more discounted prices to any show in Vegas if you want to go to a show I would wait to get them til you get there. Anyways it was a blast they sang great songs and I was surprised at how much their voices sounded like the real artist. and it was so fun to see Holli when "Michael Jackson" came out. She was screaming and bouncing up and down in her chair and clapping her hands and screaming. I loved it!! Then we went back to our room got showered and changed and back down to the lobby to find some food and then to bed. Then bright and early Tuesday morning we loaded up and hit the road back home.

It was such a fun trip. It was nice to get away and nice to come home. I sure appreciate Russell taking care of the kids while I was gone. I had a lot of fun and I looking forward to doing another girls trip again next year!! Way Way Fun!! Thanks Carol for inviting us to go with you!!

Happy 6th Birthday Hunter

K - I have to start out by saying I have realized that I am not a good picture taker when I have other tasks that I am trying to do so I don't have near the pictures I should have, (Sherri I need you, She is usually my picture taker) So Hunter was born 6 years ago on July 26th. He was lucky enough to be born on the same day as one of he cousin's Braxton. So Happy Birthday to Braxton too!! We decided to have a pool party for Hunter and his friends and family. Thanks to my neighbors Amber and Kerri for letting us use their blow up slide. We ended up putting some warm water in a small pool so when they got cold they could sit in there and get warm. It was not the warmest day so needless to say they spent most of the time in the small pool. Hunter is so lucky to have so many people who love him! Thanks to all who came and helped us celebrate him and for giving him such great gifts! He love them all!!

This weekend we dogsat my Father in Laws Doberman. I know, I know you guys are probably thinking are you nuts to have a dog like that around your kids!! I have to tell you she is an AMAZING dog. She is so good with the kids and she is not a danger at all!! So we put her bed in our room and Hunter was so excited about her staying at our house that he grabbed his new blanket he won at the Reunion and laid next to her on the floor and fell asleep next to her! I had to pull out the camera and snap a few shots! It was fun to have her at the house and has now gotten my kids wanting a dog more now than ever!!

Steel Days Carnival

Every year we take the kids to the Steele Day's Carnival! We like to do this one because they sell tickets in advance that you can get that are $1.00 per ticket 1 ticket per ride any day you go to the carnival. We were soo lucky to be able to go with some of our really good friends the Watkins and while we were there we ran into my 2 SIL's. We all had a lot of fun.

The minuet that we got there Hunter wanted to go on this ride and by the end I was surprised that Easton had ridden it as well they all had a lot of fun!!

I had to post this video. I have to clarify that the Greene's have a family tradition where Grandpa Greene takes each grand kid on their 1st Carnival ride on the Merry Go Round so when Betty was 2 weeks old he took her on it so this is not her 1st carnival ride but it is her 1st one where she was able to sit by herself! It was so cute I had to get Video of it!!

Betty has learned to do stairs

Today I was cleaning the house and Betty started to cry and I couldn't figure out where she was and when I finally seen her she had crawled up the stairs all by herself and couldn't crawl back down stairs and so she sat at the railing and cried until I seen her! I couldn't help I had to pull out the camera first!

Picture Fun

I have been so excited to get some pictures of Betty lately and I have just been so busy so last night we ended up canceling out boating trip because of the wind so I grabbed Betty and my camera and her cute skirt that my sweet girlfriend taught me how to make! (thanks a ton Sherri for teaching me how to do these and for the amazing bow! She looks AMAZING)! and went out to take some pictures of her on my grass and then of course the sprinklers turned on so my sweet neighbor said I could go to her house and take them so that's what I did! and then I got up first thing this morning went into this new website that Sherri told me about called picnik.com (which I love) and uploaded this pictures and I had to post them because they turned out AMAZING! Boy do I LOVE to take pictures! I cant wait until I can get me a professional camera so I can capture more of these kind of moments!!

Happy 4th of July

This morning we got up and took the kids to the provo 4th of July parade with my sister Ginny and her kids and my mom. The parade was fun. It was hot but fun. There were a lot of military veterans from WW2 and solders who have just returned from active duty last month. It was nice to be able to show my respect for the freedoms we have because of what they have sacrificed!

After the parade we all went to this really nice park in Provo and had a picnic and let the kids play in one of the water fountains. It was nice for them to be able to cool down after sitting at the hot parade.

Later that night we were invited to Carl's house for fireworks. Each neighbor brought fireworks that were contributed to the pile and they had over $200.00 worth of fireworks. It was fun to sit and watch the show! Thanks Carol for inviting us. It was also fun to see all our friends on the old street and even meet some new ones!
