Fun With Grandma Godfrey

Today we went to spend some time with Aunt Ginny, Wyatt and Grandma. Hunter and Easton played out side and Betty had a lot of fun with grandma. She really like the magnifying glass and was just laughing. It was sure fun being able to spend time with them we don't get to do it often and I really enjoyed it!! As you can see Betty did too :) !!

Birthday "Surprise"

Today some of my friends and I planned a surprise party for one of our good friends Carol who's birthday was today (Happy Birthday Carol). We were to meet at Shaleen's house at 7:00 and a group of us were going to surprise her with cake and balloons and gift for her. It was my job to make her a cake and a request was put in for my yummy chocolate strawberry cake that I posted in my blog. Anyone that knows me knows that I always seem to be running behind today being no different. I told Shaleen that I wanted to be at her house a little early and well I would have gotten to her home right at 7:00. But I was running and so I put Betty in her car seat and had not strapped her in yet. I then put the cake in the car to the left of the car seat and went back in for Carol's present. I came down the stairs into the garage just in time to see Betty go head first into the cake. I was upset but had to laugh and of course pull out the camera and snap a few pictures. So needless to say by the time I got her all cleaned up it was 7:15 and too late to try to fix the cake so I took it the way that it was and we all ate the edges around where she fell. I wish I was thinking I should have taken a picture of the cake as well. O-well we all got a good laugh out of it!!

Hunters 1st Motorcycle Ride

Today we went to my mom's house and my parents pulled up on my dad's motorcycle and Hunter was so excited. We have been trying to find someone who had a motorcycle to take him for a ride for almost a year. So when they pulled up my dad said that he would take him so we put a helmet on him and off they went. He said that he was scared before they drove off and when they got back he said because he had practiced that he knew he could do it again. We will have to see what Grandpa is doing next time we go over. Maybe we can talk him into taking Hunter for a ride again now that he is "practiced".

Family Easter Partys

We had so much fun this weekend we went to Grandma and Grandpa Greene's on Saturday and Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey's today and celebrated Easter. The kids went on Easter Egg hunts on both days and filled their baskets with more candy than they can eat. We really enjoyed spending time with those we love celebrating the fact that we will always be together forever because of Jesus dieing on the cross for us.

Easter Sunday

Happy Easter everyone. I wanted to start out this post letting everyone know how much I love my family. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and what he went through for me to be able to live with them forever. I have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know this gospel to be true. I have had many experiences in my life testifying to me that this is true. I am grateful that I was born in the United States and in Utah. I am grateful that I was raised in the gospel and grateful that I get to raise my children in the gospel.





For those of you who know me I love any chance to be able to buy things for my family to let them know how much I love them. Easter is no different but I didn't want to have my kids believing that we celebrate Easter so that the Easter Bunny will come. Hunter is really smart and would have figured out that the Easter Bunny is just someone in a bunny costume as well so we started a tradition that I did as a kid for my kids which was doing a scavenger hunt with clues that tell the kids why we celebrate Easter. As soon as we got home from church I went through out the house and yard and set the clues and then followed them taking pictures and videoing them as they found them. One of the clues took them to my scrapbook room where I had downloaded a video about the life of Christ and his last days to watch. it was a lot of fun! I look forward to doing it again next year.

A Spring Surprise!!

Today I was cleaning my house and Hunter said mom you need to hurry and come here!! I went running into our garage and there against the wall was this bird. It was hiding its head in its wing so I was afraid it was hurt. I went to pick it up and it flew across my garage and landed in the corner were our BBQ was so I went over and picked it up. It tried to fly out of my hand so after we took a few pictures with it we I figured if it didn't fly away I would have Russell deal with it and thankfully after the picture with all the kids I went into my driveway, opened my hand and away it flew! YEA, Robins mean spring it right around the corner!

It's UNCLE UGBEE!!!!!!!

Today I went and picked Hunter up from school and he was learning the letter U. At his school they have different characters to help learn the different letters. The characters for U is Uncle Ugbee. So when I picked him up from school he was wearing these glasses and his teacher said mom this is not Hunter it's Uncle Ubgee. I laughed and of course Easton wanted to wear them. We went and seen Russell at work and I had Hunter wear them into his work. It was fun and of course I had to get pictures!! :)

Betty's 9 month appointment

Today was Betty's 9 month doctors appointment. She is growing but very little but I am o.k. with that.

She weighs 12 lbs 15 oz (not on the chart) She is 25 3/4" long ( 5%). They say that she is really healthy. She is now scooting all over and she is talking like crazy! She say's mom, dad, hunter and no. She gets up on her knee's and rocks back and forth so I know it wont be that long before she will be crawling around all over.
