Were going to the temple...

Today we took the kids to the Draper Temple Open House! It was so much fun. We met at my moms house and then drove to the temple. We went through the new Alpine Highway that is over by Traverse Mountain that goes over the top of the Draper Hill and it was neat to see all the building that has gone on over their and the size of the homes was crazy.

We met at a church where they show a short video of why we have temples and then loaded a bus to be taken to the temple. It was cute this was Hunter, Easton and Betty's first time ever riding a bus and they were excited. On the way there they had a man reading facts about the temple and he told Hunter to pay attention to what he learns because he will need to know this stuff for when he goes on his mission. (notice he wanted to where his Missionary in Training pin. Easton wanted to wear his but we couldn't find it.)

As we toured the temple it was fun to explain to the what each room was for and what was done in that room. Hunter liked the Baptismal Font the best of course. My favorite room was the sealing room. I wish that we could have taken pictures in the temple because it was really neat to see Russell holding both my boys and looking into the mirror to show them what eternity looks like and then to have Betty and me join them, it was very moving to see my entire family for eternity. I only wish that we could have taken some pictures outside of the temple. But they did have this room with all kinds of pictures of Jesus and we did get some good pictures there.

I was so blessed to be able to go with my family! It was so much fun to see the different reactions from the kids. I thought it was cute that my sweet niece Makenzie kept asking when were we going to see the Celestial Room and then to hear her when she got their and to hear the kids talk about the different rooms and the lighting throughout! I was a great day. If you have not gone yet they are doing tours until March 31. I would recommend that you go.

Family Fun

Today I decided to clean the basement and while I was down their I came across a box that had our 4-wheeler helmets in it and Hunter wanted to wear them. So later that night the boys were wearing the helmet and they would take turns hitting each other in the head with the football. It must be a boy thing because they were having a ball!! :)

Betty's New Thing...

So Betty is teething and likes to chew on things, when I am holding her she likes to grab onto my arm and suck on me. The other night we went to the in laws and I was holding her and she kept sucking on my arm and if I pulled her off she would cry and finally after bruising on both my arms I have decided that she is going to have to find something else to suck on, what do you think??

Happy Valentines Day!!

For Valentines Day every year I do a candle light dinner for my family. This year was a lot of fun. I made Prime Rib for the first time. Russell said it was amazing and that he loved it. We also had chocolate dipped strawberry's, Bananas and pink marshmallows.

For Valentines day this year I gave Russ a 6 X 6 scrapbook that had pictures of him with the family listing things we loved about him, I gave the boys a few movies and Betty a book that she can chew on. I got all the kids cards where you can record your own message and then it plays a cute song. It was cute when Hunter listened to his he started to cry and said that it was the best valentines day ever!

Russell gave me some roses and he gave Betty a Carnation and gave the boys pokemon cards. Grandpa Greene stopped by with a wooden rose for me and Betty and cookies for the kids it was great and the kids gave them a card that had a recorded message and their hand prints in it. It was a great Valentines Day!

MONSTER TRUCKS

Today Russ took the family to see the Monster Trucks with Grandma and Grandpa Greene. It was so much fun taking the boys to see them. I had a lot of fun watching the reactions of the "boys" to the trucks, and motorcycle jumpers. Every time the trucks would jump or the motor cross guys would do a jump Easton would turn around and yell grandpa did you see that grandpa. Easton and Hunter would jump and up and down and kick their feet as the drivers did their different tricks. Russ was hooting and cheering as the motor cross guys did their tricks and at the end of them doing their tricks the last motor cross guy did a back flip. My F.I.L. was standing and cheering I had to get a picture of it! It was cute.

Star of the Show.

Last night we were given tickets by our good friend Hans to go and see the Harlem Globe Trotters. It was a lot of fun. Our tickets were in the upper bowl and Hans said they aren't the best seats but maybe you can move down, Little did he know 1/2 way through the game one of the workers from the E.S.A. came and asked us if we would like to move down to the lower bowl of course we said yes so we went with her down the elevator through an under ground hall and you will never guess where she sat us...

You got it Court Side.

It was so fun as soon as we sat down one of the Globe Trotters walked over and asked to hold Betty. He was going around to all the players asking if she was their baby, They took off one of their wrist bands and put it around her wrist. After they gave her back they kept turning around and talking to Hunter and Easton. They were reaching behind the bench and giving them 5. One of the other player gave Hunter his wrist band. The player that says Spider on the back of his jersey is the one who took Betty. He told me he also has a 7 month old baby.

The one that is giving us a thumbs up, every time they would play music he would turn around dance with Betty and she would just smile at him.

After the game was over they were selling basketballs and had the players stand around the court signing the balls so we got one for Hunter and Easton and had a few of them sign the ball and got their pictures with them.

Thanks Hans for such an awesome night. Russell said we might as well not even bring the kids back to see them because we wont be able to top that night.
