Getting Ready For Christmas

One of our Christmas Traditions is of course to put up the tree after Christmas. Today we went and bought the kids their Christmas ornaments for this year. Hunter picked out Iron Man and Easton picked out the Little Einstein Rocket Ship that plays the cartoon theme song and Betty has 2 ornaments she has a cute little baby in a white bundle outfit that was given to her from Aunt Janet!! (Thanks Janet is darling) and a baby bottle that says baby's 1st Christmas with a tree and presents under the tree.
This is something that I look forward to every year it really gets me in the Christmas Spirit and after doing some shopping on Black Friday all we have to do is wrap them and put them under the tree.

Pictures With Santa

We went and took the kids to the Mall to see Santa. They were so excited but I have decided that I am going to have to come up with a new story of Santa for Hunter. After we left the mall he asked me if that was the real Santa and I said yes did you notice that he had real hair and a beard and he said that he didn't have a big belly and that he is loosing his hair on his head.
.
Because I had already told him that it was the real Santa I didn't feel like I could now change my story to being an elf that is helping Santa so I told him, do you remember the movie Santa Clause and how during the year he changes to be skinny and have brown hair and when it gets closer to Christmas he grow white hair and a beard and gets a big belly in time for Christmas? That his hair was just gr owning in from being brown and that he will get his belly as it gets closer to Christmas.
.
He is getting to smart and I feel that is wont be too many years until he figures it out :( It was a lot of fun shopping with them.

The BIG BEAR!!

I started to work on this post and realized that I never did my post of the newest addition to our home. After over $200.00 damage to my home and help from my father in law, and neighbor we finally have it here!! Keep in mind when we were drawing the plans for our home over a year ago the office was built just for this mount. This is Russell's Grizzly Bear that he shot in Alaska. The guide that took them on the hunt said that this is one of the biggest bears that has ever been taken as long as he has been guiding and I think it was like over 25 years.

Today we went to Russell's dads house and spent some time over there while Russell helped move in his bear and hang his Buffalo. The kids were really excited while they were there and wanted me to take some pictures of them with the animals. I have to say I never thought I would think that having all these animals on the walls would be pretty but after seeing Russell's dads Buffalo I think that the mount turned out good and I wish that we had one in our home to add to Russell's collection.

I also had to post some pictures of my sister in law. She came while we were there and she looks amazing she has lost over 100 lbs on her own all by eating better and walking - get this over 8 miles a day 4 in the morning and 4 at night!! She's done an amazing job and I just had to brag about her and give her some props!!! Great Job Misty!!!!

How Cute!!

O.K. I had to post these pictures!! I am so excited!! I have a girl friend of mine who's mom makes all kinds of crochet hats. I was visiting her a few weeks ago and she was showing me all the hats that her mom had made (Which are AMAZING) and I asked if she could make one for Betty and Look at how dang cute this hat is!! She made it adjustable so that I can make it smaller or bigger as her head grows!! I couldn't help it!! I had to come home and take some pictures of her wearing the hat!! Isn't it so dang cute!! Thanks so much Amanda's mom for making this hat for Betty I love it!!

Happy Birthday Dalton

Today was Dalton (Our nephew's) birthday party. He had a "reptile" birthday party literally!! They had a guy who brought all kinds of things for the kids to see hold and tough! For me I am not a reptile person so I stayed quite a ways away from what he brought out most of the reptiles(thank goodness for zooms on camera's) One of the last things he brought out was a snake that weighted over a 150 pounds and was over 15 feet long. It took Russell, Steve, and the guy who did the show to get it out and pt it back. Thanks for the fun party!!

Betty's 4 Month Doctor's Appointment

Today was Betty's 4 month doctors appoinment. I love her doctor, the nurses are amazing and Dr. Weipert is so cute with the kids. At each of Betty's doctors appointments he always tells them that today is a special day its big brother day and if they are good they will get a sticker and a sucker.
So Betty now weighs in at 9 lbs 7 oz (which is less than 5%) and is 22.75 inches long (which is in the 10%).
