Bridal Veil Falls

Today  we spent the day in the canyon. I have lived in utah my entire life and there's so many things I've never done and this year I put together a list of places I want to do to and this was one of them. It's such a beautiful place.  The water was perfect and the view was beautiful.  We so blessed to live in a place where places like this are just a short 20 minuet drive away.

Going to the temple with Hunter

Today we had the opportunity to take Hunter to the temple for the first time.  He was so excited to go.  As every time a temple trip is planned the closer time got to going the more got added to the schedule to do for the day.  So we decided to get up at 5:45 am so that we could be there by 7:00.  So when these pictures were taken the sun was not our friend.  What a great opportunity we  had.  Because Russell is endowed, He was able to be the one who did the confirmations and the baptisms.  The spirit was so strong in the room,  What a joy it was to experience this with hunter and I am looking forward to going monthly with Hunter and hopefully soon be taking my own family names,

Rushton wake surfing

Family Day Out Boating

We had so much fun boating today.  Every time we go out boating we usually are taking families out with us.  Which we love.  Today we took the opportunity to go out just as a family. The air was 95 degrees and the water was 90.  We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.  Creating memories and watching the kids learn new hobbies. Hunter started off wakeboard today.  He's getting much better. I think by next year he'll be jumping the wake.  Rushton surfed with Russell for the first time.  After watching Rushton Betty wanted to give it a try.  Easton decided that with his stiches he better pass this trip and the 3 ended with a tube ride.

so glad that we've been so blessed to be able to create these fun times with our children.

Rushton turns 2

Today my sweet Rushton turned 2 years old.  What a little sweetheart he is. I couldn't even imagine what our family life would be like if he wasn't part of it.  He is just bursting with personality. He loves to make people laugh.  The will smile at you.  He laughs until you start to laugh then when you stop he will start again just to get you laughing again too.  He loves to give hugs.  He will wake up in the mornings and yell for the entire family. He starts off by calling for mom, then he says e-ton, beā, a-ter. When you walk in he smiles and reaches to get out of his crib.  He loves to play outside any chance he can get to be out on his bike he takes.  There have been several times where he's snuck out and been playing for a while not realizeing he was even outside. We've had to start locking the doors so he doesn't escape.  He loves back beans and rice. Any time I get Cafe Rio he sits and picks out all of the black beans.  He also loves candy of any kind.  He had the best funnest personality.

Easton gets his 4th set of stiches/staples

Today was hunters friend party.  I felt so bad we decided on doing a slip n slide. The wind was blowing so we decided to put stakes down the sides of the slip n slide.  We turned on the water and Easton went down. On his 2nd time down the slide he slide across the one of the stakes and cut his back open.  Poor boy he was so strong. He ended up getting 8 stiches in his back. He went back to the party and finished off the night playing night games with the boys.

Hunter turns 12 and gets ordained a Decon

Today hunter turned 12 years old.  I can't belive how fast he's grown up.  Out of all the gifts we could have given he received the most precious gift of all.  The gift of receiving the priesthood.  Last Sunday he was presented to the ward and this week before church he was set apart as a decon. Papa and Grandma Godfrey and Grandpa Greene and Aunt Misty came. After being set apart they all stayed so he was able to pass the sacrament to all of us today.   He had the biggest smile I've ever seen on his face. Boy did he look handsome.

That night we got the neighborhood and family together and did a fire made smores and lite fireworks.  Hunter was excited that he was entrusted with the fire torch

Hunter's FHE Lesson

Hunter was in charge of Family Home Evening tonight.  It was his first time doing it and he was so excited and I was So impressed.  He decided to do a scripture bingo game with scriptures that talked about the Book of Moron.  He pulled out the computer and I helped him create this game.  Hunter picked a scripture and we would take turns reading the scripture and we played until someone got bingo.  Here is what he typed up for his family night.  What a sweet boy with a large testimony even at 9 years old I am so proud of him!!

Hunters Lesson:

My lessen is on how reading the scriptures can help us the scriptures is like instructions for us like if you have a really hard lego what do you need you need instructions the scriptures are instructions for us they help us lerren about jesus .Jesus gave us the scriptures to help us Jesus is a grate exampol he gave us the scriptures to lern off of him and all of the people In the Book of mormon beleved in Jesus but not all of them were LDS like Oliver caudry was not LDS but he did know that Jesus was real and that he was the son of god every person who was in the Book of Mormon new that Jesus was the son of god all of the people that were telling them that Jesus was not real they were so wrong so I put together  a Book of Mormon bingo  if you get bingo you get a bingo you get to read one of the verses that you have in your bingo  I am going to finish my lesson with my testimony that I know the church is true and that these words are true and I say these thing in the name of Jesus Christ amen .

Betty's Pre-school Fieldtrip

Today Betty’s pre-school went on a field trip to that pumpkin patch in Lehi that we took the kids to last week.  They had so much fun they got to go around and see the animals, play on the fun playground that they had created with slides, tramps, and bales of hay and bouncer balls.  They also got to ride in a cow train, and pick out pumpkins from the patch.  Once they did that her class all gathered on a blanket and they were read a story told Mrs. Jill their favorite part of the field trip and had a treat.  Once they finished Betty and a few of the kids had a lot of fun swinging on a tree swing before they left.

Betty and her Pre-school Bear, Family at the Pumpkin Patch

This weekend Betty brought home a visitor from pre-school.  She brought home this brown bear.  It was her job to take him with her to do fun things.  So today we went to pick out our pumpkins at a pumpkin patch in Lehi.  We went on a hay ride and then we went into the field and picked our pumpkins.  When we came back to ride the horses they had already started putting them away.  When they heard that the kids wanted to ride the horses they brought them back out and let them ride them around their property instead of just in a circle.  Lucky dogs.  They had so much fun and we took some pictures of Betty and her Teddy playing together for the weekend.
